Surgery for metastatic pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors: a narrative review

Surgery remains the best treatment for localized PanNETs, but it also has an important role in metastatic disease. Surgical debulking of liver metastasis in selected patients with metastatic PanNETs may confer a survival benefit, improve symptoms, and allow systemic therapies to be more efficacious.
