Development and validation of a machine learning-based nomogram for prediction of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma in patients with intrahepatic lithiasis
Xian Shen, Huanhu Zhao, Xing Jin, Junyu Chen, Zhengping Yu, Kuvaneshan Ramen, Xiangwu Zheng, Xiuling Wu, Yunfeng Shan, Jianling Bai, Qiyu Zhang, Qiqiang Zeng
The large sample study found that age, abdominal pain, vomiting, radiological
diagnosis, ALK, CEA, and CA 19-9 are the independent factors for IHL-ICC.
Furthermore, a nomogram was developed and validated to identify ICC in IHL
patients for hepatectomy, and to differentiate from benign occupying lesions.

A new staging system for hepatocellular carcinoma associated with portal vein tumor thrombus
Wan Yee Lau, Kang Wang, Xiu-Ping Zhang, Le-Qun Li, Tian-Fu Wen, Min-Shan Chen, Wei-Dong Jia, Li Xu, Jie Shi, Wei-Xing Guo, Ju-Xian Sun, Zhen-Hua Chen, Lei Guo, Xu-Biao Wei, Chong-De Lu, Jie Xue, Li-Ping Zhou, Ya-Xing Zheng, Meng Wang, Meng-Chao Wu, Shu-Qun Cheng
A new staging system for hepatocellular carcinoma associated with portal vein tumor thrombus was established which provided a good discriminatory ability to separate patients into different stages and substages after treatment. It can be used to supplement the other HCC staging systems.
Molecular characterization of circulating tumor cells in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma: potential diagnostic and prognostic significance in clinical practice
Xudong Zhao, Yongsu Ma, Xiu Dong, Zhengkui Zhang, Xiaodong Tian, Xiaohang Zhao, Yinmo Yang
Total count and M-CTC percentage of EMT related CTCs differentiated metastatic disease in PDAC patients. M-CTC percentage of CTCs was associated with survival outcome in resected PDAC patients. hENT-1 expression in CTCs was an independent prognostic factor in resected patients undergoing adjuvant gemcitabine-based chemotherapy.
The presence of NAFLD in nonobese subjects increased the risk of metabolic abnormalities than obese subjects without NAFLD: a population-based cross-sectional study
Ping-Fang Hu, Xin Zeng, Zi-Yuan Zou, Wei Tang, Yi-Bin Guo, Zong-Li Yuan, Pei-Mei Shi, Yu Tan, Yan Song, Yong-Quan Shi, Wei-Fen Xie
Nonobese subjects were more vulnerable to NAFLD as the increase of age and WC than the obese, in particular in females. Although without the phenotype of obesity, the presence of NAFLD in nonobese subjects increased the risk for metabolic diseases than obese subjects without NAFLD.
Prognostic significance of preoperative Naples prognostic score on short- and long-term outcomes after pancreatoduodenectomy for ampullary carcinoma
Jikuan Jin, Hebin Wang, Feng Peng, Xiaoxiang Wang, Min Wang, Feng Zhu, Guangbing Xiong, Renyi Qin
1. This study is the first report to investigate the prognostic significance of NPS on short- and long-term outcomes in patients undergoing pancreatoduodenectomy for ampullary carcinoma.
2. NPS has better prognostic performance than other immune–nutritional scoring systems, such as CONUT, PNI, TNM stage, etc..
