Dr. Donald N. Reed, Jr. earned a medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1981. He completed a rotating internship at the university's Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc in 1982 and a residency in General Surgery at the university's McLaren General Hospital in Flint in 1986. Dr. Reed was a surgery/trauma surgery fellow at Allegheny University Hospitals in Pittsburg in 1987, and he completed additional training in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery and endoscopy at the University of Louisville in 1999. Dr. Reed is board certified in surgical critical care. His research focuses on endoscopy, endoscopic surgery, laparoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, and liver diseases.
