Abstract: In the recent years, non-surgical loco-regional therapies have been consistently applied for patients with intra-hepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Such use has widely varied accordingly to local expertise and resources available among different centers around the globe. In addition to external beam radiation therapy, image-guided interventional radiology procedures such as ablation, chemoembolization, and radioembolization are routinely utilized as part of the loco-regional armamentarium. In this presentation, we aim to review the current level of evidence and outcomes of such therapies. Also, we aim to provide guidance towards selection of optimal loco-regional therapy modality accordingly to individualized patient’s characteristics.
